Cry, cry if it makes ya feel better
Dec. 30th, 2004 02:17 amWhy the fuck am I up this late? I have to wake up at like 8 in the morning tomorrow. I'm going to Davis to pick up my computer so my mom's friend Jerry can replace the CD-ROM drive. Yeah, yeah, my CD-ROM's been broken for like, a year now. So, why, you may ask...am I getting it replaced NOW?
Well I'll tell you.
Because I am the proud owner of a brand spankin' new
iPOD. Personalized with my name engraved on the back and everything. My grandma got them for all the grandkids. So I gotta get that damn comp fixed so I can cram all my music onto it. Exciting shit.
So, yeah, the Humboldt trip was pretty chill. We really didn't do a whole lot. There was a little more than the usual amount of family drama, but whatever, we got through that shit. Smoked a lot of weed. Spent a lot of time trying to figure out the damn slam dunk contest on NBA Live 2005. Hard as fuck. I never got the hang of it.
My uncle got me a gift certificate for the Metro in Arcata. The selection there sucked but I left with an Eric Clapton CD and a Jeff Beck album. The Clapton is especially tasty. Spent Sunday afternoon at the Six Rivers Brewery watching the Patriots clock the Jets. My dad deserves credit for making record time into Humboldt so I could watch it. Then my grandma bought us all cracked crab.
The band thing probably isn't going to work out. So I contacted someone else and hopefully that's going to go over allright. They're kind of just getting started, so I don't know how that's going to go at all. Maybe, maybe not. Oh, well. Things are pretty questionable at this point.
Only got a few hours of jam time in this weekend. Worked out allright though.
Allright, enough of this nonsense. Gotta get my ass to bed.
