Thought will mean nothing now
Jan. 13th, 2005 06:49 pmA lot of positives can come out of the past few weeks:
-Jamming with the other 2 guys from Sacramento is becoming a positive
thing, it takes a lot of my time, but I enjoy it and it's heading in
the right direction.
-I've been doing better at going to the gym regularly. I got it to be
one of my habits again, and I hope I can keep it up. It's good to get
health back on track, and despite the occasional smoke, I'm doing
allright.
-I've been studying quite a bit and am pretty much all caught up and in
some instances, ahead. For that, I am very proud of myself, and again,
I hope I can just keep it up.
-I'm living next year with Devin (
sandstorm721), Matt A. and Sergey. I'm pretty stoked about that.
-I have a nice relaxing weekend planned for myself.
-I'm slowly learning to enjoy the little things. I'm figuring out useful stuff in class that actually interests me. I become thankful for every meal I have. I go to sleep at night happy that I have lived another day, and if I should go in my sleep, that would be ok.
Are there a lot of times where you wished the Boondock Saints were real people? At least half our government would be killed. At least. A lot of criminals that police couldn't put behind bars would be gone. I've always thought about when I'm older making some sort of vigilante group that takes care of whatever crime isn't covered. Nothing like the Saints though. Just cracking down.
Man, is there anyone who still has the same lifetime aspirations as I do?
-Touring musician who lives with his band and makes enough to get by.
-Vigilante group organizer
or:
-Monastic Buddhist
Anyway, I'm off to hit the gym. I'll try and update a little more often.
If I can't, I just wanna give props to Martin Luther King, Jr. I still think he's one of the most underrated human beings of our time. Mostly because he was black, and a lot of people still don't consider them equal humans. But anyway, MLK is definitely one of my idols, and someone who I can only dream (I have a dream?) of being a fraction as worthwhile to humanity. We just kind of take his b-day (observed) off and don't give a second thought to how much he contributed. Then of course there's the guy he's named after, who was pretty important himself. But that was a long time ago.
There's my statement for the day.
