Let's take a blast to the moon, baby.
Sep. 17th, 2005 11:33 pmI wish I had enough money to go out and travel all kinds of cool places and stuff. The more I think about it, the more I'd like to just take a road trip across America and stuff and just take the time to see everything the States have to offer. Two problems are: 1) Working is really hard what with school and all, and 2) getting me a job is virtually impossible. Oh, well. Some other day.
Stanford lost to UC Davis tonight. Hilarious. Huge upset and stuff, but people are gonna overdo this big time. I can already see that someone I know called it the "greatest football game I've ever seen" or some shit like that. Riiiight. A Division I-AA team that couldn't beat New Hampshire and a lower tier DI-A team that underachieves. Only from a weepy Silo-All Star and a total redneck like her for something like that to come from. And to think she once had a crush on me. Hilarious.
I turn 21 in like 3 days or so. Righteous.
I'm in the process of moving in still and I can see it's gonna be kind of hard. I'm more or less on my own moving everything and I still have to find a day I can borrow Curt's van so I can move my big stuff. I don't know one of my new roomies at all, and he seemed nice, but that could change. Oh, well, it's only 2 and a half months with him as opposed to like 9-10.
Spent a nice couple of days with Lacy. Went to CPK and watched "Fever Pitch" which has sentimental value and is a funny story for multiple reasons. Anyway, she's gone for a couple weeks and that makes me sad although I have my 21st festivities (or lack thereof) and moving in to keep me occupied, plus like baseball pennant races and football. Miss her already.
Sox have been keepin' it real, although just barely. Only like a game and a half in first, but I'm thinkin' they'll hang on. Beat the A's the last couple days, and took 2 out of 3 from Toronto. Arroyo and Wakefield are looking great, Timlin is shaping up to be the closer, and Manny and Papi are just killing the ball. Not to mention I've got the Patriots tomorrow against the Panthers and the Sox/A's game at the same time. What a day.
