Here it comes

Wasn't a bad day today. Got very productive at work. Later this week I have a "tough love" meeting with one of my direct reports, and I'm basically just gearing up mentally for that. They cram all this junk in at the end of the year and it's always high-stress...which is weird, considering how many people take time off the last two weeks of December. I'm in meetings almost all day tomorrow, which will also make the day drag.

Actually left on time, which was a nice change of pace. Watched "Green Book". More than worth my while. Viggo Mortensen is so good...and they did a nice job with his makeup making him look shittier than he usually does. The plot was extremely predictable, but it's a nice, feel-good story and I think it'll win a lot of awards and probably finish as one of the better movies of the year - primarily because it was acted really well and the editing and screenplay were ultra-smooth. It was almost 2.5 hours but it flew by.

My sickness has about 80% subsided, but I have clogged ears, which is one of the most uncomfortable feelings around. I remember when I was young and had ear tubes, and they went to remove them. They used this vacuum that got all the mucus and wax out of my ears. It was so disgusting, but it felt so unbelievably good.

I can tell I'm not going to sleep well tonight.
