Today I didn't do much of anything. Tried to study. Failed. Watched the Sox game.

Wake is the FRIGGIN MAN!!! It was a pretty boring game really there was only action for about 20 minutes. The important thing is Wake pitched 6 VERY good innings (got out of a lot of jams), the Sox scored a few runs off a Renteria homer ("The Rent is DUEEEEE!" my new catch phrase) and a Payton 2 RBI single. Mantei came in and did, eh, ok, Embree shut shit down and Foulke came in and finished the job. Boring game but a SOLID win.
The D-Rays have issues. They consistently get beat up on the road. They've got good young starting pitching, a decent bullpen, and guys who can hit. What do they lack? POWER HITTING. You need a guy thats gonna clear the base paths every once in a while to keep the runs coming in. Walks and doubles are great and all but you need that ONE guy who can just park em. Until the D-Rays get like a Richie Sexson or a Troy Glaus (Melissa would f'n love that) they're gonna struggle offensively.
Then the Yankees got spanked again and the boss came out and had a mad spaz. I found this and thought it was hella funny.

Then I proceeded to follow the Celtics game as they (barely) beat the Raptors. Pierce had his usual scoring spree and for the first time since #33 was runnin with the Celts, we have the Atlantic Division. Ohhhhh yeah gotta love it!! More on the Celtics later when playoffs get a rollin'.

This is all well and good, but the highlight of my day comes later.
I go to see "Fever Pitch". Right off the bat let me just say the movie is very good and worth seeing. You gotta get past the sappy stuff (It's not like "You Got Mail" or anything) but overall its just a fun good movie to watch. I loved seein all the players participate in in (especially Damon he was all over the place) and they paid respect to a lot of old guys: Jim Rice, Dennis Eckersley, Keith MacWhorter, Ted Williams, Tony Conigliaro (whose #25 will be retired this year), Yastrzemski, etc.
When the end came and the Sox won it all and the fans were going crazy, it hit me. It FINALLY hit me. The Red Sox won it. They fuckin won the whole damn thing. I won't go into details, but I was pretty freakin shell shocked. There's other stuff I could write, but you'll have to IM me privately to get such info. I just couldn't fuckin believe it.
It's great. It's amazing. And my alarm is set for 8 AM tomorrow to watch Schilling take the mound against the BJ's.
