Just anything to ease my worried mind
My sleep patterns are all fucked up. Sleeping on that rocky ass ground and driving for 19 hours in 2 days really messed things up. Hopefully that'll get fixed as soon as I can fix that. Being a little bit tired right now kinda makes sleep the predominant thought in my head right now.
The Red Sox have won 9 of their last 10, which kicks ass. As of today, the Sox are only a game behind the rollin' Orioles and 4 games ahead of the Yankees, who have lost 2 out of 3 to the lowly D-Rays. Damn it's a good time for them right now. Sure, they beat the Reds, Pirates and Indians, but the Indians were hot as can be (9 in a row) and they were playing during dusk in Cleveland, which they were not at all accustomed to. Everything is really firing away right now. Damon is hitting insanely, Manny is getting his stroke back, Papi is hitting everything out of the park, and the role players consistently contribute. Today's hero was Olerud, and it could be anyone this weekend. Arroyo is pitching well again, Miller is off and on, Clement is amazing, Wells is pitching great, Wake will hopefully get better, if not, Schilling comes back and things kick ass again for him. Even the bullpen is awesome...Embree is getting better, Mantei contributes, Myers and Timlin are still great, and Foulke is working out the kinks. There's no reason not to be optimistic.
I might be going to an A's-Giants game this weekend. That would be pretty cool.
Saw Jake today for the first time in a while. Burned hella CDs from him and I will return the favor by the end of the week for him. Pretty good to see him, and hopefully I'll at least hang with him a little bit more before I have to get back to Davis.
I think I'll just spend a lot of time reading tomorrow. I don't really have anything planned...
