I know I post a lot about the hurricanes, and my thoughts about them. The cut and dry about it to me, is it's really made me think. I have 2 family members who can't go back home until God knows when and a few other people who now have no homes. They all lost priceless things, and they've all suffered large loss. Now my cousin in Houston and her family has evacuated from their home, and who knows what's going to happen to them.

It's a serious reality check, and it makes me think about things. What I would do if I knew this was it? Would there be time for me to do what I needed to do or say what needed to be said? Probably not. I know if that time came today or sometime soon, I know what would be on my mind and I could think of a few things I would need to say to some people.

Bottom line: I realized what my last thoughts would be about. Heavy.

Got me thinking too.

Hope all your family in Houston is OK-- seems like the biggest problems there have been evacuees on the freeway running out of gas, and traffic, etc. I've watched a little bit of coverage and as far as I know, they haven't found any fatalities yet.

Hopefully they'll get home to Houston soon-- I think everything turned out a lot tamer than we all expected, but that's a very good thing.

P.S. Sorry about the Rangers today. I was certain you wouldn't be taking the walk of shame, especially with Tex's 4 RBI. Oh well.
