Streak Over

Finally got pulled over tonight.
And for nothing.
I saw the lights flash behind me, and I knew damn well I wasn't speeding and that I didn't run any red lights, so I wondered wtf am I getting pulled over for?
Turns out it's because I have no front liscence plate. I've never ever had one. There's no place on my car to PUT a front liscence plate, unless they want me to put it in the window (which is also a violation of CVC). Should I nail one to the hood?
Anyway, the cop didn't even ask for my registration or proof of insurance, just my liscence. Then he asked if I'd been drinking, and did the "follow my finger" thing, then admitted to me that he was just looking for DUIs and I'd probably never get cited for not having a front liscence plate. It probably didn't help the cause that I was wearing my "Jim Beam" pajamas. The whole thing probably took less than a minute.
But the streak is over. Damn.
