I'm sure you said somewhere, but since LJ goes most recent to least recent, I've missed it. WHY the bear suit? I really wanted to do this race this year called the Surf n Santa 5k where they give you a Santa suit (they were trying to make the Guiness Book of World Records for most people in Santa suits running a 5k, and won!) but I didn't do it. :(

Costumed fun-run. Not required but encouraged. Given that it was 29 F when the race started, it was a wise decision.

People usually "dress up" in the races I do, but it's not necessarily advertised as "costumed." Like, for the Shamrock Half Marathon, people will wear green tutus and crap. Lol.
